fall bucket list

Over this season, I have come to realize that having a bucket list is very helpful, especially with making special moments.  I make sure that I set a timeline, in which I want to complete all my goals, for me I chose a relatively close holiday, Thanksgiving. (which for me is the last day of fall) I have accomplished over half of my own, but decided to share it with you, just to help spark some ideas to create your own, or just to follow this one.

Fall Bucket List

  

1. go pumpkin picking

2. visit a farm 

3. go horseback riding trail

4. open a new book

5. try out a new look

6. get lost in a corn maze

7. go hiking

8. go out for breakfast

9. go to a market

10. make warm apple cider

Y'all might know that I love Reese Witherspoon, I mean who doesn't?! She's a southern belle at heart, and dresses with that same vibe.  Want to copy her style? Don't worry, she has her own clothing line called Draper James, which filled up my Christmas list pretty quickly! I picked out my three favorite finds, and decided to share them with you today.

My favorite out of the three options would definitely be the peacoat, which is my favorite type of coat.  It provides such warmth, it's stylish, and it's perfect for fall and winter! What is your favorite Draper James piece?

so many parties...

First of all I want to say Happy Birthday over the weekend to one of my favorite bloggers, Mackenzie Horan from Design Darling (her blog).  She has inspired me through the years with her style, fashion, travel, and her lifestyle.  Also, I may add, she has the cutest Cock-a-poo, Rory, just like my

 Cock-a-poo, Charlie! 

This print of mine was inspired by and is of Mackenzie Horan. 

Now, talking about parties and birthdays, here are my top three essentials for a perfect party.

1. Lots and lots of sprinkles...

Whether you have a cake or cupcake at your party, you need to spruce it up with some bright and colorful sprinkles.  

2. Add those striped straws...

I love to add straws to drinks, I think that it is just easier to drink especially a Moscow Mule!  When I was shopping and I saw striped straws, I was so excited, so I bought a pack!

3. Presentation Perfection

If you are hosting a party or taking a photo, your presentation needs to be key!  Every single picture in this blog post, is presentation.  When you are preparing food, make the colors pop and make everyone want to eat it.

fall shows

I look for forward to a lot of things when fall comes around.  One of the things that happens when fall starts is that I kind of get into a mind set, that the year restarts. I always love to see the new shows on TV, and watch and catch up on last years shows that I liked.   Here are the shows that I am looking forward to this fall.

1. Shark Tank - ABC - Friday September 25 at 9|8c

Shark Tank is one of my favorites, especially because it lets my brain go wild.  It really makes your mind work, I always imagine what I would do with the company,  and if I would invest in it.   For those who don't know what Shark Tank is, it is a tv show that allows entrepreneurs to pitch their product, business, or idea to five multi millionaires.  The investors can invest in the entrepreneurs business,or they can be "out" which means they don't want to invest.

2. The Middle - ABC - Wednesday September 23 at 8|7c

The Middle is one of those Wednesday night comedy shows on ABC. (On Wednesdays ABC plays four comedies, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, and Blackish)  The Middle is about the Heck family, with two kids off to college and Brick at home, their stories and experiences.  Overall, you should just grab some popcorn and watch The Middle, and the other shows, and it will have you laughing your head off.

3. Pitbulls and Paroles - Animal Planet - Saturday September 19 at 10

Pitbulls and Paroles is about Villalobos, a pitbull rescues located in Louisiana. It follows the story of Tia, the owner, the pitbulls, and the paroles. The paroles come, work, bond, and rehabilitate with the pitbulls.  In one episode, they normally show one rescue, one adoption, and something new.

P.S.  Now I'm sure all of you 80's-90's kids and parents can agree with me that Full House was the best show, and that everyone loved it.  John Stamos is now going to be in the FOX comedy, Grandfathered, which, I am super excited to see.  Talking about Full House how about a  Fuller House?  The Netflix spin off of Full House where the roles are changed, but the characters are not. Note that Fuller House starts in 2016, not this year. 

I'm excited for all of these and I am so excited to get a blanket, remote, and some popcorn!

a little bit of white

As I said before in a previous post, I always try to sneak in white with my outfits. I think it just brightens up everything, especially when you have darker colors in your outfit. Here in an outfit that I wore, that is perfect for that end of summer/beginning of fall look.

(present)ation...

When I receive or give a present, I believe it's all about the presentation.  Even if your present just is a simple gift, making the outside just as important, makes your present so much more special.  Recently I have been searching for some wrapping paper, and grabbing some here and there. (I also have realized that I have an obsession with stripes!)

One of my favorite places to find some cute, inexpensive wrapping paper is Marshalls. The green/navy and teal/navy paper is from there!
